I used to wish I had lived during the time that Christ was on the earth ministering to many. I wanted to experience His love and healing power, just as those early disciples did. I wondered, “Why are there so few in the history of the world that had this privilege?” Now I know Christ’s healing power is available to us today through the power of His atoning sacrifice. I used to think, “How is it possible that Christ knows me personally, with all the people who live in this world? How could He possibly know about me, my life, and my challenges?” I couldn’t see how this was possible. Now I know He not only knows me but knows and understands my life completely—my desires and feelings, my challenges and struggles, as well as all the joy, enjoyment, and love I have experienced—everything about me! In fact, He gave me these experiences to help me to learn and become a stronger person. I have learned that He grieves with me when I am in pain and rejoices with me in my joys. I have learned from experience that Christ not only redeems us from sin but can also heal our emotional pain and suffering.
I have felt prompted for a few years now to share experiences that have changed my life, especially those that have brought me closer to our Savior Jesus Christ. But honestly, I have felt hesitant about doing this for many reasons, like “What can I share that will help someone else?” “I’m not a writer,” “How can I make this interesting and relatable?” and, most of all, “I’m really scared to put myself out there!” Still, the promptings haven’t gone away, so I hope these experiences and thoughts will uplift and give hope to someone who needs them. God knows who you are. I have been blessed with many experiences that have helped me come to know of His love for me and to learn to trust Him, and I share some of these experiences with the hope that something I write will help someone who is struggling or who needs messages of peace and strength. Most of all, I hope to point others to the Source of all healing, peace, joy, and strength—our Savior Jesus Christ.
